Proof Engineering & Independent Design Review

When the client, the principal contractor or the certifier wants a second opinion — that's what proof engineering is for. An independent engineer reviewing the original design, checking the assumptions, and putting their name on the final certification.

Arion provides proof engineering services for temporary works, event structures and bespoke installations. We review original calculations and drawings, identify gaps or assumptions worth challenging, and provide independent certification where required.

• Temporary works designs — propping, shoring, falsework schemes from third parties.

• Event structures — stages, towers, marquees and activations.

• Scaffold designs — independent verification of complex or high-consequence systems.

• Construction sequence reviews — checking the order of operations as well as the final state.

• Pre-event audits — site walk-throughs to verify what was designed has been built.

How We Work

Proof engineering is best when started early. We review designs at concept, developed and detailed stages — not just at the eleventh hour before certifier sign-off. Independence is the point: we're not invested in the original design and we'll raise concerns the original engineer might not.
